At DNique Safety, we understand that taking your first step into firearm ownership and training can feel overwhelming — especially if you’ve never handled a gun before. That’s why we created First Steps: a beginner-focused, judgment-free training experience designed to make learning simple, safe, and empowering.
We’ve helped countless new shooters move from uncertainty and nervousness to confidence, competence, and calm control. Our priority is ensuring you feel prepared, secure, and supported every step of the way.
What is First Steps?
This 90-minute classroom-based orientation focuses on safety fundamentals, smart decision-making, and hands-on learning — before ever stepping into live fire training. It’s the perfect start for anyone curious but cautious.
Woting in this class — your comfort comes first.
During your First Steps class, you’ll receive professional instruction on:

This course is designed only for students who already understand how their firearm operates and have completed basic firearm and CPL training. It is the next step toward becoming capable, confident, and efficient with a concealed firearm in real-world situations.
This is not a basic handgun class. This is practical defensive training for the moment you hope never comes.
Because owning a gun doesn’t make you safer… knowing how to use it does.
✔ Concealed carry is a perishable skill
✔ Repetition builds reliability
✔ Stress changes how your body responds
✔ You must be able to perform when seconds matter
You will leave with a personal training plan that maximizes your range time and tracks your progress.
Safety first. No nylon or collapsing holsters allowed.
Every skill in this course is taught from your holster or concealment to reflect how you carry day-to-day.
You will develop:
Speed matters. Accuracy matters more.
We build both — the right way.
